Enjoy the mobile version of the generative music application that millions enjoyed through the web, with your iOS device!
If you want to see what Otomata is about, play with it through the web player first: http://batu.in/otomata
Otomata is a generative musical instrument that anyone with or without a music training can enjoy. You just need to create an initial scene on the cellular grid by tapping on the screen (simple as that!), and Otomata will generate and play endless melodies with beautiful visuals for your enjoyment.
When you are satisfied with your piece, you are able to share it with the world using your favorite social networking site, using just your mobile device.
This version of Otomata has:
* 40 hand picked musical scales for you to play with
* Flexible tempo
* Loaded with best presets chosen by the Otomata community
* Preset Load/Save support
* Twitter and Facebook integration to share your music with the world
* Support for playing your endless pieces when you lock your device. Press play, lock your device and do your thing with a soothing and constantly evolving musical background!
* HD graphics for Retina display
Otomata will surprise you with your musical skills (whether or not you think they actually exist).
Pros and cons of Otomata app for iPhone and iPad
Otomata app good for
Real cool sound generator that keeps you occupied for hours with experimenting.
A wav/mp3 export option would be great.
Just bought it for my i pad. I simply love it. This makes so much fun. I regret no cent buying it.You can play hours with it and create new musical sequences.Next step would be that this app can send midi data out. Great Work Full Support.Thank you.
Sadly it crashes on my ipod3g when I try to change the tempo or load a piece... And it does not play when I hit play
But since I know Otomata and I know youll fix this you get 4 stars :)
Well Otomata Looks a little like common stepsequencers or the tenorion, but this is real something else. I find the idea behind something intruiging, it reminds me a litte of very early "live" simulations.
Hard to explain, so visit the Homepage and check out the Videos, or if you can, try the Flash Version.
Well i was waiting for this to come to iOS and i got it
Thilos up and Five Stars.
Not to be negative but when I hit play the program just locks up and crashes. I am sure you will fix the bugs though
An ingenious way to kill a few minutes making a tune or a few hours sculpting an amazing melody.
Some bad moments
Ob pc very good. As App. On iPhone 3GS Sound is Bad to more than Worse. Not Worth the money
I have been waiting along time for this app, but it is crashing non stop, cant get it to make a sound.
I wasted my money on an app that crashes way too much, could you please fix it so it wont be a waste, crashes everytime i load presets, change speed or play
Very disapointing, I bought this app thinking it would be just like the version on the internet, but nop! It doesnt work at all!!!! Dont buy this!!
This the one! I have been waiting a while for this release. And with additional features, this is actually better than the famous flash/web version. Very good job!
Ive been looking forward to this app since I discovered the original Otomata page. Expectations exceeded. Absolutely perfect implementation.
